Matrix maker 3.0.2 Documentation: Read Me First

Matrix maker 3.0.2 lacks three important features usually present in Macintosh applications that create documents:

1. It does not allow the user to open a file that it has previously created by double-clicking directly on the file. Double-clicking directly on the file itself will open the application, but the file must be opened from inside the application, using either the "Open..." command from the "File" menu or its keyboard shortcut.

2. A Matrix maker 3.0.2 document cannot be printed by dropping it upon a desktop printer icon. Printing must be accomplished when a file is already open by using either the "Print..." command from the "File" menu or its keyboard shortcut.

3. The text within a file created by Matrix maker 3.0.2 is currently not editable. This problem may be addressed in v 3.1, but at this point we are not certain that this will be the case. Stay tuned for further details!

Problems 1) and 2) will be fixed in v 3.1. (This is documented elsewhere in these instructions, but the consensus of the testers of the application is that the attention of the user should be called to this problem immediately, lest they think that the program is not working when in fact it is.)

There are also, as mentioned elsewhere in the documentation, kerning problems that affect the printing (specifically the spacing and/or alignment) of the title and other character strings printed above the matrix. These will also be fixed (we hope) in v 3.1.
